Ellie O'Ryan spent her childhood obsessed with reading, which turned out to be excellent preparation for a career as a children's book author. She has lived in several different states, including Connecticut. Ellie loves reading scary stories more than watching scary movies, and wouldn't mind seeing a ghost, as long as it was a friendly one. She lives with her family in Winston-Salem, N.C.
