SHIRLEY RUSSAK WACHTEL is best known for her historical fiction novels, A Castle in Brooklyn (Little A) and The Baker of Lost Memories (Little A). Her children's books include Where is Emmy, Zoey and the Purple Elephant, The Eight Days of Hanukkah, What Would I Be, and an interactive detective series for young readers. Shirley is a retired professor of English at a college in central New Jersey, where she lives with her husband, Arthur. She is the mother of three grown sons and has three granddaughters, Zoey, Emmy, and the adorable and well-behaved Stella!KELLY MICHELLE MEMBRENO is a Salvadoran-American college student studying illustration. She is the youngest of five siblings, and it was her elder brother who taught her how to draw. With the support of her family and friends, she continued to draw and develop her skills. Through her studies, she plans to achieve her goal of sharing and creating art for others -- a dream she has had since the start.
