Anne Broyles is a world traveler, vegan cook, hiker, art lover, avid reader, and children’s book author. Her books for children include Priscilla and the Hollyhocks, which was named a Bank Street College’s Best Children’s Book of the Year and a Notable Social Studies Trade Book for Young People, and Arturo and the Navidad Birds, which received an International Latino Book Award Silver Medal. Anne is an enrolled member of the Cherokee Nation but can communicate better in Spanish than Cherokee. She lives in Portland, Oregon, in a multigenerational household that also includes three cats and a dog named Clover.
