Julia Ember previously worked as a teacher, bookseller, and wedding-cake decorator before turning her talents to writing for books and games. The author of the Seafarer's Kiss duology, she was born in Chicago but raised in London and Edinburgh. She currently resides with her wife and their two cats and pony in Seattle.
