Ken Green has had two successful careers, became a skilled pilot, and has written hundreds of newspaper and magazine articles and five books. He has worked for the Associated Press, IBM and the Walt Disney Company. But he takes the most satisfaction from his service in the United States Navy and in having rescued more than 100 stray dogs. Now retired, Green, 85, lives in the hills above Burbank, California where he cares for a bunch of formerly homeless dogs and a pond full of turtles.
