Josh MacDonald is the writer of the stage plays Halo, Whereverville, and
Degrees. Published by Talonbooks, Halo and Whereverville are curriculum
titles in Nova Scotia high schools. Halo has been produced around North
America, and been adapted into the feature film Faith, Fraud & Minimum
Wage (eOne Entertainment), for which Josh wrote the screenplay. Josh is
also the writer of the slow-burn, sci-fi horror feature The Corridor (IFC
Films; D Films), which won him Best Screenplay at Fantastic Fest in
Austin, Texas-- one of the world's top genre festivals. He is also the writerdirector
of the short film Game, which has won prizes in festivals around
the world, and been viewed over 700,000 times online. Josh has written for
CBC TV & Radio, the Smithsonian Channel, Reelz, Blue Ant, AMI and
Teletoon. Josh has taught creative writing at the Nova Scotia College of
Art and Design (NSCAD), the Dalhousie University Department of Theatre,
and the Writer's Federation of Nova Scotia (WFNS). Josh is also an actor
for the stage and screen.
