Jill Thompson is a twelve time Eisner Award winning comic book creator who has been making comics for four decades. Jill was one of the first female comics creators to come to prominence in the comic book industry. In addition to
Scary Godmother, Jill is best known for her work on
Wonder Woman: The True Amazon, The Sandman, The Invisibles, Finals, Beasts of Burden, Magic Trixie, and more.
In addition to creating comics, Jill travels around the world appearing at comic conventions, teaching, speaking at schools, libraries and comic art festivals. Outside of comics Jill has designed and created toys, pottery and coming soon cosmetics which are available at www.thescarygodmother.com.
She's also illustrated books written by wrestling legend Mick Foley and designed wrestling gear and merchandise for wrestling superstars Daniel Bryan, Adam Copeland, and CM Punk. Jill has competed in Spartan Races, loves to bake, ride her bicycle and host dinner parties. She is a practitioner of longsword in the Chicago Swordplay Guild.
