Born in Hampshire, Sam Baker studied politics at Birmingham University before embarking on a career in journalism She has been the editor of various women's magazines including Company and Cosmopolitan. She is currently the editor of Red magazine. Sam is married to the award-winning novelist Jon Courtenay Grimwood and lives in Winchester, Hampshire, and central London.
