Edward J. Mullen is the Willma and Albert Musher Professor Emeritus at Columbia University, where he received his PhD in social welfare and served as associate dean. Previously, he was a professor at the University of Chicago and Fordham University and director of the Institute of Welfare Research in New York. His research and publications have focused on evidence-based policy and practice, outcomes measurement in the human services, mental health services research, and research applications in social work practice. He has been named a fellow of the American Academy of Social Work and Social Welfare.
