Lee Martin, produced screenwriter and published novelist, grew up on cattle ranches and started writing in the third grade. Martin novels turned into movies include Shadow on the Mesa (Kevin Sorbo) 2013, The Siege at Rhyker's Station (Bruce Dern; (DVD this fall), and The Desperate Riders (Drew Waters) to follow.
