Before Rob Childs wrote his first book, he taught children for 20 years. One of his favorite experiences as a teacher was being able to coach soccer and gymnastics. Childs eventually wrote more than 80 books for children, including a popular series of sports books. He also wrote a series called Time Rangers for Scholastic. Childs lives with his wife, Joy, and their collie dog, Rockey. Rockey likes to take Childs for walks in the nearby countryside.
