Cardiff-born and bred Brian Lee is the author of around 30 books mostly about his beloved Cardiff. A prolific writer, he has contributed to numerous publications and books over the years and his weekly Cardiff Remembered column in the South Wales Echo has a big following as does his Turf Talk column in the Western Mail the national daily newspaper of Wales. Most of Brian's books have been reprinted some several times. He has reported on the Welsh horse racing scene for more than half-a-century and was dubbed by The Sporting Life as 'Historian of the Welsh Turf.' Brian used to write a weekly local history column for the long gone Cardiff Independent and later the Cardiff Post and he is a regular correspondent to the Glamorgan Gem series of local papers.
