Mike (Michael) Allen is a Canadian security executive specializing in enterprise security, premises protection and risk assessment. Mike has years of experience in security metrics, facilities emergency response, international security operations and leadership. Mike has
held security management roles for hotels, commercial office towers, and a major Canadian bank.

Mike has more than 20 years of progressive experience in the security field, most of which have been in premises and financial institution security management. Mike is an advocate of public & private partnerships, convergence of related practices and elevating the security profession. He has earned numerous professional designations including the Certified Protection Professional (CPP), Physical Security Professional (PSP) and the Professional Certified Investigator (PCI) from the American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS International). He has also earned the Certified Fraud Examiner(CFE) designation from the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, the Certified Anti-Terrorism Officer (cATO) from
the International Association for Counterterrorism and Security Professionals, his Certified Protection Officer (CPO) from the International Foundation for Protection Officers (IFPO);
and the Certified Lodging Security Director (CLSD) designation from the American Hotel and Lodging Educational Institute. Mike completed a certificate in Security Management from New Buckinghamshire University in the U.K. Mike is currently the Chief Security Officer for a premier Canadian financial institution.

Mike has lectured for the ASIS International Toronto Chapter certification program sessions for several years. Mike served as the secretary and treasurer for the Overseas Security Advisory Council (OSAC) in Toronto. Mike has written articles, provided interviews, presentations and commentary on various topics with Canadian Security Magazine. Mike is
an occasional guest speaker at local colleges and various associations on travel security, personal security, cyber security and risk management. In 2009 Mike was named among a few upcoming security professionals in Security Director News’ 20 Under 40.
