Rick Smith graduated from Wingate University and Appalachian State University. After a career in real es¬tate, he joined First Savings and Loan Association, eventually becom-ing CEO. Rick is now retired and lives in Mebane, North Carolina, with his wife, Juliana. This is Rick's second book. His first book, Change for A Dollar, chron¬icled the history of First Savings and Loan and his hometown of Mebane, North Carolina.
