Dorothy Kamm is an award-winning porcelain artist, author, and expert on hand-painted porcelain. She received a Bachelor of Fine Arts with University Honors and with Honors in English from Northern Illinois University, and a Master of Fine Arts from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. She has written four books, dozens of articles, and lectured extensively on porcelain artistry and its history.
Kamm is the only porcelain artist whose writings are on file in the library of the National Museum of Women in the Arts, the leading research facility on women’s art. Additionally, she has organized exhibits for the Elliot Museum in Stuart, Florida; the St. Lucie County Historical Museum in Ft. Pierce, Florida; and the Villa Terrace Museum of Decorative Art in Milwaukee.
