During World War II, the Office of Strategic Serivces was formed by the Joint Chiefs of Staff to coordinate espionage activities behind enemy lines. Throughout the war the OSS conducted ntelligence, sabotage and resistance missions across Europe and Asia. This titles focuses on the missions of the OSS in Europe, examining the strategy behind the missions, the training, equipment and weapons employed, and the dangerous work they undertook, surrounded by the enemy. It also tells the stories of some of the agents, in particular First Sergeant Bill Thompson, now 95 years old, and one of only 18 agents still living to have parachuted behind enemy lines into Nazi-occupied France.
