Book 1

Drow Princess for Hire.

Skills include wielding dual magics, stabbing bad guys with the pointy end, and protecting the good people of Seattle from dark wizards.

Also wraps a mean sashimi roll.

The name Brownstone evokes a certain reaction no matter who hears it. And for Alison Brownstone that’s both a blessing and a curse.

But it’s time for her to step out of her dad’s shadow and make a new name for herself.

She just has to decide what she wants that name to mean.

At twenty-five years old, it’s time Alison chose who she wants to be now that she’s grown up. She has many role models who’ve shaped her and trained her into the woman she is now.

But she is her father’s daughter…

Old face, new attitude.

Join Alison as she faces off against technomagic, cults, criminal organizations, and the growing discrimination against all things magical.

NOTE: While the series continues in the same world with some returning characters, it takes place years later and does stand alone. No prior experience necessary.

Book 2

On Her Own

by Martha Carr, Michael Anderle, and Judith Berens

Published 26 March 2019

What’s the harm in taking a break from protecting the city for one date? Alison is about to find out…

Bounty hunter license in hand and attitude in place, Alison is ready to house-train the city’s malevolent magicals.

But even a Brownstone needs a little downtime!

Cleansing Seattle of the Eastern Union’s threat was hard business.

Exhausted and dripping with sweat at the gym, she collides with a man who gets her pulse pounding. Great first impression…

Courting can be tricky when you’re busy taking out the neighborhood trash and facing off assassination attempts by power-armored goons.

Add in an unknown entity attempting to hack her computer and an ancient Oriceran Drow woman searching for a princess to worship.

Finding time to enjoy a date quickly slips from the top spot of Alison’s to-do list.

Book 3

What’s stronger than magic itself? A Brownstone with a mission.

Brownstone Security continues cleansing Seattle’s magical mobster underbelly while Alison draws strength from her trusted circle as she fights off the virus draining her powers.

She uncovers the smuggling of magical pets and the harmful side effects of testing savage spells on humans and still has time to chase down her enemies.

It’s dirty, dangerous work and leaves her friends the targets of vicious attacks.

Not smart, bad guys. Do you even know who you are messing with?

It would help if Hana wouldn’t let her guard down in her continuing quest for companionship.

But it takes a direct assault on Brownstone HQ for Alison to stop playing nice. A warning to the bad guys: a Brownstone never backs down from a fight, especially when protecting those she cares for.

Book 4

The Bitch is Back

Alison’s powers are restored, and her magic is sizzling

Dark Wizards gather in Seattle for a meeting. Alison isn't about to let them set up business in her town.

Her friends have her back, even if one of them may be a traitor.

A dark wizard escapes the raid. Doesn’t he realize a Brownstone won't give up?

After he frees the Fremont troll, Alison has to think fast to protect innocents. But wrangling a stone giant wasn’t on her agenda.

Sometimes it's your team that gives you strength.

Book 5

When you want an Angel, call God. When you want someone to kick ass… Call a Brownstone.

Alison and her team are looking to expand Brownstone Security. Good timing, too, as it sounds like something is brewing.

An unexpected phone call sends Alison to D.C. where she meets up with an old friend.

Danger follows this Brownstone, but it isn’t prepared for her counter.

Attacks on multiple fronts. Something big is at stake. What exactly are they planning?

Dark Wizards beware. Alison and her team won’t back down from any fight.

Book 6

When a Power Broker is threatened, she knows who to call… a Brownstone.

Alison and her team have to travel across the world to protect Abigail Wilson, CEO of Aeternum, as she negotiates for mining rights of a mysterious crystal. Drysi Jones comes along for the ride.

The simple escort mission turns deadly. They aren’t the only ones interested in the crystal’s power.

Dark wizards attack… again. Haven’t they given up yet?

Nothing like getting tested by a hail of ammo to see if Drysi is a good fit for Brownstone Security.

Together, they must discover the truth behind the crystal’s origin and stop the devious bastards from fulfilling their dastardly plot.

Failure is never an option for this Drow princess.

Book 7

Alison Brownstone has the leader’s name and is ready to kick ass. Time to take the fight to the Seventh Order dark wizards.

Tracking dark wizards is hard but no one is good enough to evade the bounty hunter for long.

Unless a friend goes missing first.

Shay asks Brownstone Security for help finding Lily and Alison can’t refuse. The dark wizards can wait. The team is off to Japan in search of the magical she thinks of as a sister.

What should have been a simple search and rescue mission is anything but simple.

Drawn into a power play over an ancient Japanese artifact, Alison and her team must find a resolution and Lily at the same time. Problem is, the Japanese don’t want any outsiders involved.

Doesn’t help that Hollingsworth Retrieval Specialists are complicating matters. They want a crack at the artifact too.

Time to kick ass and chew gum. Too bad Alison is all out of gum.

Book 8

No more delays. No more nice Drow Princess. Alison and her team are ready to open a can of whoop-ass on the Seventh Order and put an end to them – for good.

If they can track them down.

With Brownstone Security’s best on the job, it doesn’t take them long to find out when and where the leaders are meeting.

Time to pull in everyone, including James Brownstone, Myna and an old…friend? Only time will tell...

The Seventh Order will throw everything and everyone they have at Alison to protect their plans. Can Alison and her team get past the dark wizards, their spells and put a stop to what the leader is planning before a lot of lives are lost?

Join Alison, Mason, Lily, Izzie, James and the rest of the team as they charge head first into a battle to save the world as they know it.

Book 9

The Seventh Order has been taken out… Things seem calm. But Alison and her team know better. Trouble’s always coming for a Brownstone. Good thing she has an answer for them.

Brownstone Security’s reputation is spreading, which means more jobs for the growing team. But more money means more mayhem looking for them. Can the team dig deeper and pull out another win?

Between moving in with Mason, training, keeping an eye out for attacks from other Drow princesses, and running her business, Alison’s hands are full.

Not full enough to stop her from helping when Agent Latherby calls about an ‘off-the-books’ situation.

A dangerous magical is loose and on the run headed for the center of town. Brownstone Security has to catch him before he reaches the teeming city.

But Alison and her team aren’t the only ones on the case.

Can the team track the magical and stop him before he falls into the wrong hands?

Book 10

What could be harder for Alison than hunting magical beasties? Meeting Mason’s parents.

Now she knows what Mason felt like meeting her father. Well, that was James Brownstone, so… maybe not.

No time to ponder impressing the parents anyway – she has other issues to deal with. Sonya’s father has reappeared, seeking their help. But will they?

And an unknown person has reached out to Tahir and Hana about Omni’s owner. Something smells a bit fishy about the whole situation – and it’s not Omni being a fish.

Whoever wants Omni is up to no good – members of the team are attacked on the same day in different areas of the city.

Bad move bad guys. You now have to deal with a pissed off Brownstone Security team. They don’t take kindly to someone hurting one of their own.

Can Alison and her team track down the people behind the attacks, find out what they want with Omni and prevent him from being taken by these magically enhanced hunters?

Book 11

Alison bloodied the Tapestry, but has she defeated them?

With her foes operating under the radar, Alison thinks she has time for reviewing pet parks and PR jobs, but when the mysterious magic-enhancing drug Ultimate arrives in Seattle, she is faced with a shocking conspiracy that might reach from Las Vegas to Seattle. Sadistic wizards willing to experiment are flocking to town, including a mysterious and lethal woman testing a newer, purer form of Ultimate with no consideration of the human costs.

Dark experiments generate vicious whispers.

Alison’s informant Vincent has been acting sketchy – even more so than usual. Alison’s investigations now force her into risking herself and her people to protect a man she doesn’t even like, but in a city like Seattle, embracing some of the gray is necessary for the greater good.

Ultimate is changing men into monsters. Alison will need the help of the PDA before Seattle is overrun with twisted creatures.

Will Alison be able to fend off the converging conspiracies and solve the mystery of Ultimate before it’s too late?

Book 12

Brownstone Security is hired for what should be a relatively simple job. Protect a courier transporting a valuable painting. Nothing about the job is as it seems and Alison ends up working with the FBI’s first witch on the case.

Can they figure out what’s going on and settle a score before the painting is lost for good? But that’s not all – the CIA is looking into the Tapestry and who they might be allied with.

The Tapestry might have been knocked down, but they definitely aren’t gone – at least not yet. Didn’t they learn their lesson the first time they went up against Alison and her friends? Apparently not.

Bodies at the morgue have disappeared and it’s not the first time. Bodies are disappearing throughout the city and it’s raising red flags for every government group out there – even if they’re trying to keep it on the down low.

The CIA teams up with Alison and Brownstone Security to track down Tapestry, but will their combined muscle be enough?

Can Alison, her team and the CIA stop the Tapestry before they finish their plans to invade and conquer Earth?

Book 13

But chaos can breed opportunities. Can Alison make the necessary sacrifices to make it happen?

Can Alison defeat all the challengers coming her way? Will she ever get an ordinary life… well… for a Brownstone.

It’s business as usual for Brownstone Security. Drow threats or not, they still have work to do.

Agent Latherby requests Alison’s help on an off the books assignment that is more personal in nature. The government has basically said to leave it be, but after Alison and the team find out what it is, they can’t refuse.

It’s time to find a ghost ship and any survivors left from more than 100 years ago.

A ghost ship the Drow manage to show up at. This Drow succession fight is getting tiresome. Time to take the fight to them.
