Twelve-year-old Ethan Fost already knows what he wants to be when he grows up: A masked vigilante patrolling the streets of Cove City and fighting crime. In order to accomplish this, he has to attend Warren's School For the Gifted when he's older, a place that'll train him to control his power so he can protect the streets as a vigilante. But things take a turn for the worst when he is forcefully taken to a secluded school along with other Gifted kids who are told they are forbidden to use their powers. However, things begin to look up for Ethan when he is randomly chosen to compete in an obstacle course that will guarantee his freedom if he wins and a pass to the school of his dreams. With his two teammates, Conrad, the short-tempered pyroglee, and Timothy, the smart-mouth who can control electricity, Ethan is ready to fight to the very end.
