I have not read much of Doctor Doom comics but I know the basics about him. For the most part the story was easy to follow and the art was fantastic. In this new start of the series, we see Doom trying to be a better person by putting on the Iron Man suit. Doom feels the weight of what happened during Secret Wars and he's trying to live another way. We'll see if trying to be a good person sticks around or it's just a temporarily feeling.
I don't hate this new direction their trying with Doom and I'm interested enough to read vol 2 to find out what happens next as I feel like they put a few clues in for the conclusion of this limited series.
