This five-act script with roles in Spanish allows students to perform roles at differentiated reading levels to accommodate all students. Students will learn the history of the Declaration of Independence as they perform roles to increase fluency, comprehension, and social studies content literacy. With a glossary, poem, and song, this resource will help students develop their vocabulary, create a stage presence, speak with meaning, and learn how to interact cooperatively with peers.
Students will act out a story about the founding fathers' process of writing the Declaration of Independence--the important document that made America a free nation. This Reader's Theater script features roles written to match multiple reading levels. Teachers can assign specific roles to their readers based on each student's current reading level, allowing all students to get involved in the same activity and feel successful!
