The Statistical Analysis of Particle Sizes
by Nick Fieller, Eleanor Flenley, David Gilbertson, and Walter Olbricht
Published 24 April 1995
The measurement of particle size distribution plays an important role in many problems in the Earth sciences. Disciplines as diverse as fuel, powder and materials engineering, medical, geological, environmental and archaeological sciences all demand knowledge of sizes of particles in a variety of guises. Using many case studies and examples, this text demonstrates and discusses the statistical and computational tools required to analyze data obtained from the measurement of particle sizes.
