Corel Draw is a "Windows" application, which makes it a particularly useful adjunct to "Pagemaker", "QuarkXpress", "Ventura" and other mainstream Dtp packages. The UK is Corel's second largest market outside the USA. There are currently more than 150,000 users. Those in graphic design departments concerned with the preparation of business documents, publicity and PR materials (books/magazines) who are familiar with Dtp, Windows and MS-DOS and are using Corel Draw will find this concise, quick step-by-step guide to the program and the facilities useful.

CP/M is the operating system used in the Amstrad PCW range of computers. Many users start by using the PCW simply as a word processor but, after realizing that the PCW is actually a general purpose computer, want to begin to exploit its capabilities. They are able to do this much more successfully if they know about the operating system CP/M Plus. This book sets out to provide a thorough practical description of the things a user needs to know in order to get results with CP/M Plus. Worked examples are supported by explanatory text.

This book will provide the reader with a background knowledge and understanding of the basic principles of typography and graphic design and demonstrate how to apply that understanding with the DTP system in question. It will be useful to existing PC users who have bought a particular desktop publishing system or are exploring the possibilities of using one to produce high quality printed output.

LocoScript PC first came to prominence on the Amstrad PCW range of computers - computers bought by many thousands of people for whom the PCW was their first ever excursion into word processing and computing. So, from the start, LocoScript PC was designed to be easy to use, even though it had lots of facilities. Now it is available on hundreds of different IBM compatible PCs of all shapes, sizes, speeds and prices. Version 1.5 of LocoScript PC is a word processing toolkit that contains all the text and layout tools you'd expect, along with lots more you might not expect to find in a single package - mailmerging, spelling checker (in more than one language), database, different typeface fonts and styles, and the ability to generate special characters.
