Eric is an ordinary boy who loves football, and hates tests. Unluckily, a big test is coming up! Then his Auntie Rose sends him a very strange present from her travels in South America: an ugly, stinky, stripy jumper with magical powers. It can turn the wearer into a genius, so long as it is never washed. Eric finds the jumper really does have a miraculous effect on his brain power - but can there be too much of a good thing?

Poor Eric, his life seems to be one embarrassing incident after another. First there's the suit his mum wants him to wear for her wedding - bright blue satin with knickerbocker trousers ! And now his face is covered in spots and nothing seems to get rid of them. When Auntie Rose sends Mum an exotic face cream from South America, Eric thinks it could solve his problem, but he hasn't counted on some extremely strange side effects.

Eric is just no good at tests and schoolwork, and his mum thinks he isn't trying hard enough. His grumpy teacher Mr Hodgetts (AKA the Bodge) decides he needs extra help. Then a mysterious package arrives from Eric’s Auntie Rose, containing a small round stone which promises to grant a wish. The wish Eric makes might just change everything . . .

Eric's crazy Auntie Rosie has sent Mum a wedding present, this is very bad news. He knows her presents always mean deep trouble, he has to do something, but which present is it? When he and Wez track down the Green-Eyed God and try to get rid of it things go horribly wrong.

Eric is stressed out! A new baby in the family is bad enough – but this baby is seriously weird. He soon discovers why. His crazy Auntie Rose has sent a present from South America which has incredible powers. But how can Eric get hold of it before the baby goes too far?

Eric has been cast in the school play and to his horror he's got to sing a solo! Thankfully there's yet another magical parcel from Auntie Rose – this time it's a perfume that will make the wearer sing with happiness. Eric decides it might be the answer to his musical dilemma. But will his plan be music to everyone's ears?
