A delightful collection of twenty-two pieces which explore a variety of moods and styles, from the expressive 'Reverie' and dance-like 'Au Bal' of Book I to the foot-tapping 'Caribbean Calypso' and comical 'Punch and Judy' of Book II. In two progressive volumes, they provide invaluable extra teaching material for young players. Each book contains eleven pieces, four of which are unaccompanied.
Cuatro Diferencias (Version for Accordion Solo)
These four pieces could be considered a set of variations though the composer has spoken of them rather as photographs of the same object taken at different angles. The work as a whole is based on 'Tiento' by the Renaissance composer Antonio de Cabezon. Erkoreka suggests that his piece offers a new vision of the earlier piece. There is also a version for organ.
Michael Jacques' set of three imaginative and contrasted pieces for clarinet captures the essence of each movement title - the warm breeze wafting over a 'Summer landscape' and the peace, tranquility and refinement of a 'Still life' juxtaposed with the rather brash and upbeat 'Street scene'. Well written for the grades and clearly printed, they will make an ideal contribution to the recital repertoire.

London Eye is an incredibly large ferris wheel situated on the South Bank of the River Thames. This movement depicts a "flight" on this riverside wheel, at the top...
