I found the secrets Gen and Levi kept from each other very interesting, though it made sense why. She wanted him to love her for herself, not her position or her family. He didn't want anyone to love him for money.
Then, she had a new secret to keep and the road trip originally planned to be for just a few days got very complicated, and not for the reason you might be thinking!
Gen's journey to find significance took a surprising turn. I loved the way she came to realize her true value as the daughter of the King of kings and loved the choice in who delivered the message. I don't think there could have been anyone better, or that this scene could have been more touching.
There were a several surprises along the way and plenty of drama.
It's (Royally) Complicated is a sweet romance with a touch of inspiration. If you enjoy stories of royalty and adventure, you'll want to be sure to pick up a copy. This story is much better if you are familiar with the events in The (Elusive) Princess. And while a working knowledge of the other books in the Royals of Eyjania series would be helpful, it is not critical. However, if you haven't read them, you'll want to by the time you finish this one.
She’s the outgoing princess. He drives an RV around the States for a living. Is there any way they can have a successful relationship while they’re both keeping secrets?
