After an accident leaves her blind, fifteen year old Emma struggles to reclaim her life. Meanwhile, a classmate's body has been found, with all signs pointing to suicide. Determined to understand the girl's actions, and to avoid being perceived as a Poor Blind Kid, Emma sets out to unite her classmates to explore the situation. Along the way, Emma learns to navigate an adolescence made more difficult by her new handicap, but emerges strong. Powerful and moving, this is a beautifully written story of one girl's search for her place in life.

This was a good book. A bit long for my taste, but I liked the way it wrapped up. I think the strangest part for me was that there was no time travel or parallel universes involved, and somehow that made it seem like something was missing. If you enjoy realistic fiction, this is definitely a great read.
