This review was originally posted on Star Crossed ReviewsThank you to Bookouture for letting me take part in this tour and for my copy of this book via Netgalley.

I have been a fan of Tilly's work since she first started writing adult books so when I saw there were two christmas books from Tilly coming this year I knew I had to read them.

This story follows Dodie as she tries to reunite a letter with it's rightful owner. My boyfriends parents run their own vintage shop like Dodie so this was very easy for me to visualise.

I have to say that I found Dodie difficult to click with but once we break down her walls she is a real sweetie. She has a heart of gold and would do anything to help others.

While there might be others out there that he appeals to Ryan, is everything I hate in a man. He's clearly not the man for Dodie and I kept praying that Dodie would realise this.

While this book is set at Christmas time you could easily adjust the story and set it at any time of year. If you're not a huge christmas fan then this might be a good book to be a little festive without the overload.

I loved Dodie's Gran she is eccentric but I think deep down she's just a little lonely.

Tilly deals with some real world problems in this book, some of which relate to something similar my own family have been through. This made it very easy to connect with the characters and understand how they were feeling.

As always Tilly has captured my heart with these characters and I cannot wait to read the second book in this series in the next few weeks.
