Asa was a lot more brutal than the other psychopaths. Even more brutal than August in a lot of ways. Not so much blood and guts wise - but emotions wise. Like he wanted Zane so he took him. The others kind of obsessed over how to make their person happy? But Asa was sort of removed from it? I mean he wasn't because it was surprisingly fluffy but he also sort of was? I don't even know how to explain it. But it was hot and fluffy and violent AF. And I found it perfect. Which probably says all kinds of things about my batshit crazy.
Zane was interesting. I liked that he was honest with himself (eventually?) that he wanted fame for the sake of attention from his parents - that he just wanted to be seen and cared for. He was also super naive and insane. He follows Asa to the murder cabin? Really? With a terrible plan for blackmail. He's lucky Asa's a nice murderer. I enjoyed the investigation into the suicides and the way Zane and Asa worked together to find the answers.
I was a bit disappointed we didn't get to see more of Asa and Avi together. Or have their twin bond explored further. But I really liked getting a chance to see a bit of the interaction between Asa and Thomas. I mean poor Thomas, but he also was the one who decided to adopt a bunch of psychopaths.
“Did you put those bruises on him before or after the radiator, Asa?” “I mean, technically both?

I love the idea of the gang meeting Calliope. I loved how baffled they were by the idea. I definitely want them to explore that.
But overall it was just perfect. I was flying through the pages. There was humour and threats and charm and I enjoyed every minute. 5 stars.
