Discover your God-given purpose
The synopsis of the book calls it “a warm atmosphere” and I have to agree with that. The style of each entry is friendly and down-to-earth. Each devotion has the following sections:
Scripture to sip on
Let’s chat about it
Let’s think about it
Let’s pray about it
Today’s dare
A shot of inspiration
Join the convo
Each reading has a single Bible verse and then encouragement related to that verse and challenges to help deepen your relationship with God. I like the “Join the convo” idea. Each day there is a discussion question that you are encouraged to answer on social media (along with a picture of your drink of the day). So you can converse with others about how God is working in your life. Nice!
The devotionals are grouped in such a way to make it easy to find what you need for the day. Some examples of the groupings are:
Latte – Comfort in Trials
Coffee – Motivation for the Journey
Frappe – Encouragement to Be Yourself
Decaf – Finding Rest
As a bonus for those of you who actually drink coffee, there are a number of recipes for making your own.
Just remember, ladies, that a single Bible verse each day is not enough to feed your spirit and keep you strong. Use this book, get encouragement from it, but please do not let it replace daily reading of Scripture on your own!
