I haven't read much Captain America stand alone comics. I did enjoy this one. We get to see another side of Steve Rogers with some flashbacks to his childhood and how those struggles shaped him into the man he is. Steve also becomes a father and raises his son in some harsh lands that is controlled by Zola.

The book description sounded weird but I'm glad I read this book. It's a solid read and it really showed me what kind of person Steve Rogers is.
