The contributions in this volume are arranged in four categories: Survey Data, relating to survey operations and data capture; Survey Analysis, with particular emphasis on newer statistical methods with application to surveys; Survey Results, looking at methods for production, presentation and dissemination of survey results; and Survey Software, for the papers which are predominately about software rather than methods. However, outside this classification many papers contain greater breadth of subject matter and address issues relevant to other streams. They also range from the conceptual (and occasionally theoretical) presentation of ideas to the very practical, with concrete advice for everyday survey work.
