Dr. Qureshi is Professor and Chair of the Department of Dermatology at the Warren Alpert Medical School, Brown University and Dermatologist-in-Chief at Rhode Island Hospital. He is also Professor of Epidemiology at the Brown School of Public Health and has spent the last two decades caring for patients with multisystem autoimmune diseases. He is especially interested in reducing variation in clinical care and leading process improvements in both ambulatory and inpatient settings. Dr. Qureshi is a Bolognia author and has received the Diversity Mentorship Award from AAD. Dr. Qureshi's major effort is in the clinical and molecular epidemiology of psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis. His research interests are translational, bridging epidemiology and outcomes research with genomics to answer important diagnostic and therapeutic questions. He has published extensively in the area of risk factors for psoriasis and co-morbidities associated with psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis in large prospective US-based studies.
