Lou Bauer was a Lutheran pastor and a graduate of Yale Divinity School. He received postgraduate clinical training in mental health. Pastor Bauer served congregations in Connecticut, Massachusetts, Tennessee and North Carolina. He and Susan, his wife, were also seminary teachers for six years in Africa.
