Lori Rowell was born and raised in Oregon. She lives in Portland with her two cats Chance and Ivy. Lori became interested in writing children's books after years of reading to her nieces and nephews and as a volunteer with Oregon's SMART (Start Making A Reader Today) program, where individuals volunteer at grade schools to read with K through 3rd grade students to help them grow in their reading skills. Lori is excited to write books that have positive life lessons that she can share with children.
