Martha Hickman Hild has a PhD in Earth Sciences and is a member of the American Geophysical Union. Early in her career she codirected a research laboratory and lectured in geology. She also more than 25 years of experience in publishing, including work as a textbook editor and as a prizewinning news researcher.
