Author BRIAN M. VAN HECK has a Bachelor's degree in theology and Master's in counseling. He completed his mortuary science education at Gupton-Jones College of Funeral Service in Atlanta. With twenty years of experience in funeral service, Brian considers his profession a ministry and his life's calling. An avid slalom waterskier, he lives with his wife, Elizabeth, in the Lake Norman area of North Carolina.
