Interesting. A different take on angels for sure and while I figured out one 'twist' pretty quickly, I didn't see the other 'twist' playing out the way it did. I thought the love between Alex and Jessica was off-like maybe it wasn't developed enough or something. I don't know, but I just didn't buy it.

I was actually delightfully surprised by this book, the plot was very good, however I feel like this book could have gone through some more editing, sometimes I felt like the was a large gap in the plot where a transition was missing or wasn't worded properly, overall I enjoyed the different take on angels.

Great story, where angels are beings to fear, rather than to marvel in their beauty, but sadly I just couldn't lose myself within the story. Found myself skimming over passages. Will come back to the series and will read the second novel after a break.
