This biography tells how Katia Gordeeva and Sergei Grinkov met when she was eleven, and how they went on to become successful pairs skaters, winning four world championships, and two Olympic gold medals. It also tells how they fell in love over the course of training and competitions, married, had a daughter, and remained together until Sergei died of a fatal heart attack at the age of 28, while training with Katia.
