This book of poems explores Ireland's traditional identity in an attempt to come to terms with who we are with the purpose of becoming something better. It looks at family life, politics, economics and education and examines each in turn with the future of our nation at question. What it finds is that we are a self loathing and temperamental society that is determined to implode on itself and in need of foreign aid. We are impervuous to our own attempts at psychoanalysis as we are incapable of resolving the deep conflicts that have been embedded in our society. Remarkably immigration and diaspora have introduced a new lease of life and a golden opportunity for Ireland to realise it's massive flaws and pick it's self up in order to take full advantage of it's new and ever evolving cosmoplitan culture. What will become of our new Ireland? Where will we be in twenty years? What challenges will the next generation face and how will they embrace and overcome them?
