Texan Ashley Barnhill is a stand up comic, filmmaker, writer and actress. Subversively dark, Ashley is a skilled writer with unnervingly biting delivery. She toured extensively with Dave Chappelle, performing over 500 shows together worldwide. You've seen her as a guest star on Netflix & IFC's comedy series Maron and on Comedy Central's Drunk History narrating the story of the late Muhammad Ali. She was writer on TBS' Drop the Mic. You can also catch her in director Jason Reitman's Sundance short film. Ashley studied at drama school RADA and at Miranda Harcourt's Specialist Screen Masterclasses. She is the co-host of Sky & AMC's official Gangs of London podcast and recently was on WTF with Marc Maron.​Ashley ventured into filmmaking and has written, directed, edited and acted in many of her own festival winning short films. Ashley's short film #blessed was selected by Chicago's Gold Coast Film Festival. Ashley's short film Meatsauce that she directed, wrote, starred in and edited screened in Berlin curated by Grrlhaus Cinema. Ashley was on HBO as a Top 10 Finalist in Ben Affleck and Matt Damon's docu-series Project Greenlight for directors. Ashley is currently a participant in Viacom's Emerging Directors Program where she worked on the first season of Comedy Central's Awkwafina is Nora from Queens. She is currently apart of BBC Writers Access Program. And she has a law degree from University of Texas at Austin. Oh yeah, and she also has a new titanium plated skull.
