Haby Bah was born in Sierra Leone and raised in Toronto, Canada. She obtained her bachelor's degree in International Studies from York University and earned her master's degree in Immigration and Settlement Studies from the Toronto Metropolitan University. After noticing the lack of Fula children's books, she embarked on creating her own. She released her debut Fula children's book, Count With Me In Fula in 2023. Haby's goal is to continue writing children's books that showcase and teaches young Fula children about their language and culture.
