Hi. I'm Barbara Gipson, a published author. I was born in Los Angeles, California on May 25, 1948. I graduated from the University of Southern California in 1988 with a Bachelor's Degree in Public Administration. After thirty years of of service with the City of Los Angeles, I retired as a Management Analyst 2 on April 2, 1999. I began my career as an author of children's fiction books in 1996 when I enrolled in a writing course at the Children's Institute of Literature. Currently, I live in Long Beach, California with my sister Frances and my son Robert. DISAPPEARING FOOTPRINTS is the first book, in the Shirley Brown mystery collection of five books for Middle Grade Readers. THE SECRET OF COPPER SPRINGS is the next book in the collection and forms the Legacy series with HIDDEN IN PLAIN SIGHT and THE LAST STATION. THE SECRET MAZE, will end the collection. I am also working on a picture book for First Time Readers entitled HEY! THAT'S ME, and a dramatic novel entitled LIFE CHANGIN for Young Adults.
