Growing up in New England Millie Richmond loved the abundance of history and the changing of seasons. But eventually, the blustery winters seemed to linger longer and the southern breezes she enjoyed on vacation became harder to leave. Finally the breezes won and she moved south.
Millie has been driven to write for as long as she can remember and says, "The more I write, the more I want to write." Her published children's books include an early chapter book, Hildy (2012 First Place Winner of the Florida Writer's Association Royal Palm Literary Award) and two picture books, Daddy's Gone and May I Have A Dog. Papa's Promise is her first middle grades book.
