Kathleen Stockmier has been a professional writer in print and broadcast since 1985. She is a former editor, columnist and feature writer of a weekly newspaper in Irving, Texas. Her freelance articles have appeared in numerous publications in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex. In addition to her print work, she has freelanced as a cable television anchor, reporter, copy editor and producer. In 2001, she wrote and produced a documentary about the outlaws Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow for the City of Irving's cable network. For nearly two decades, she has been in charge of the Journalism department at a community college in Irving. Over the years, she has mentored many students and encouraged them in their literary pursuits.
