Laurie Wetzel has always had a passion for writing, but it wasn't until a New Year's resolution in 2011 that she finally shared with her husband her lifelong dream of being an author. He read the very first draft of Unclaimed and gave her the words she needed to hear: "This is what you need to be doing." Three years later, her dream became reality when the first book in the Unclaimed Series was published. Laurie lives in Mankato, Minnesota, with her husband and two young sons. She became a thyroid cancer survivor in 2014 and has since helped raise awareness and donations for research through events held in person and online. When she's not writing, working, or spending time with her family, she's reading, working out, or catching up on her favorite shows.
