Susannah Rickards comes from the North East, read English at Oxford, worked throughout the world for ten years as an actress in classical and experimental touring theatre before a chance exercise in rehearsal one day led her to writing. This year she’s been shortlisted for the Society of Author’s Olive Cooke Award and BBC R4 Opening Lines and contributed to Glasshouse Books 33: East anthology of London stories. She lives in Surrey with her partner, twin sons and their motley collection of pets.
