Doris Naisbitt, an observer of global social, economic, and political trends, is the Director of the Naisbitt China Institute. She is also the President of the John Naisbitt University, Belgrade, the largest private university in Europe. She is a co-author of the bestseller Megatrends China: Eight Pillars of a New Society, The China Model, and Innovation in China: The Chengdu Triangle and the author of Mai-Lin My China. She holds professorships at Nankai, Yunnan, and Yunnan Normal Universities in China and Skolkovo Open University in Russia.
Doris Naisbitt entered the publishing world at the age of 39, after working in the production of television documentaries for Walter Davy, an award-winning director. She has a distinguished career in publishing, serving as the head of the Austrian publishing house, SignumVerlag. During her tenure, she upgraded the company by acquiring internationally known authors and establishing SignumVerlag as a player in the broader German language market, including Germany and Switzerland. Other international authors whom she has brought to the German language market include Peter Senge, the author of the world-acclaimed Fifth Discipline, and Don Tapscott, the author of the ground-breaking new book Wikinomics.
