Born in Minnesota to an American mother and a British father, Hillary was transplanted to Great Britain in adolescence with her parents and three sisters. After training as an illustrator, she worked in advertising before marrying a Suffolk pig farmer and raising both pigs and sons. Writing fiction has always been an interest.
